GP Appraisals in Gloucestershire
GP Appraisals in Gloucestershire recommenced in April 2007. The GP Appraisals
procedures are overseen locally by a Steering Group chaired by Dr Shirley
Elliott (click on the following
link to view the Steering
Group Terms of Reference).
The day to day administration is conducted from the PCTs offices in Cheltenham,
by the GP Appraisal Administrator, Ginny Davies. Ginny took up this post
in September 2007. She is part of the Clinical Development Directorate
and can be contacted on 08454 221752 or by Email.
For initial guidance on the process and aims of the GP Appraisal nationally the Department of Health has published GP Appraisal Guidance. For details about how the process operates locally we have produced the Gloucestershire PCTs Frequently Asked Questions sheet.
The NHS Appraisal Toolkit, a national tool for GP Appraisals, can be found
at www.appraisals.nhs.uk. Various
training sessions around using the toolkit are being run by the Deanery.
However, for general enquiries you can contact the national appraisals
team by Email or
by phoning them on 0191 543 6127. Click on the following

Guide to Using the NHS Appraisal Toolkit.
