‘People behind Excellence’ - NHS Gloucestershire Annual General Meeting

15.09.2009

NHS Gloucestershire will hold its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 24th September at Gloucester Rugby Club from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

The informal event will include presentations from NHS and social care staff showcasing examples of best practice in service delivery, and a presentation from NHS Gloucestershire’s Charity of the Year, Gloucestershire Young Carers.

The keynote speech will be provided by the Co Creating Health national project team - an innovative project to transform self management support for patients with long term conditions.

Chair of NHS Gloucestershire, Ruth FitzJohn said:

“The meeting will provide an insight into the excellent work that NHS staff have been involved in during the past year. They have contributed enormously to the development of services and have been involved in numerous community based projects to make very real improvements to the health of local people.”

The agenda will also include a review of the past year, a report on financial performance and plans for the year ahead. Light refreshments will be served.

Members of the public are also invited to attend the Full of Life event which will take place at the Rugby Club before the AGM from 1pm-6pm. The joint event with Gloucestershire County Council will showcase services and projects supporting health and wellbeing in older age.
