Healthy Young Minds Matter – Website Launched

A new website has been launched to support the Healthy Young Minds Matter project. The project will develop services for children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties which are:
- more joined up across agencies and professions;
- help identify needs and respond earlier before they become more serious and complicated;
- support the development of alternatives to inpatient care and provide this closer to home than is currently the case.
During April and May, work has begun to build a clear picture of the services we want to see developed and we would value your involvement in helping us shape the future. Our aim is to make the best use of money and get the best local services that we can to meet the needs of the children and young people of Gloucestershire and their families. During the past few weeks we have been talking to groups of parents/carers, people who work with children and young people and, of course, children and young people themselves. We have produced a short questionnaire that pulls together the themes that have emerged from these discussions and ask that you help us identify the key priorities for Gloucestershire.
The website provides an opportunity to complete the questionnaire, add further comments and suggestions, ask questions or simply find out more about the Healthy Young Minds Matter project.
