Make a Change 4 Life with NHS Gloucestershire
28.07.2009
Gloucestershire residents are invited to ‘eat well, move more and live longer’ at an action packed event in Gloucester Park on the 29th July.
The free event organised by NHS Gloucestershire as part of the annual Gloucester summer festival, will promote the Department of Health’s national Change 4 Life campaign, which supports families to make healthier lifestyle choices.
Highlights of the event will include:
- Information on local health and wellbeing services
- Tips and advice from health workers on food and nutrition, and physical activity
- The opportunity to try fun activities such as Tai Chi, Kwik cricket and canoeing on the ergo paddling machine
- Healthy giveaways for all the family.
Hazel Millar, Head of Health Improvement at NHS Gloucestershire said:
‘The event is an opportunity for local residents to find out how building healthier activities into daily lives can be easy and fun. I would encourage people of all ages and abilities to come along and join in on the day’.
