Were you or a relative receiving long term care between 1996 and April 2004?
The process for reviewing applications for funding dates back to 1996.
The NHS is now completing this process and we wish to ensure that all relevant
cases have been assessed.
A closing date has been set nationally for all retrospective review claims for NHS funding of long term care for older and disabled people. The final date for receipt of applications is Friday 30 November 2007.
The retrospective review involves eligibility decisions made between 1996 and April 2004. Any requests relating to this period which have not yet been brought to our attention can be submitted to us by the deadline of 30 November 2007.
All those who have claims already in the system are not affected by this
as their claims will continue to be processed as normal.
