Patient and Public Involvement
How to 'Get Involved'
There are many ways in which members of the public, patients and the public can ‘get involved’ to help improve local health services. These include:
- Joining a patient, user or care group at a local hospital or GP practice or wherever patients receive a service
- Becoming a patient representative on a specific PCT service working group e.g. Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease
- Joining the Local Involvement Network (LINk) or a local Community Group
- Become a volunteer in a local hospital or clinic
