How to Enlarge the Text Size on these Web Pages
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0
- Netscape 6.2, 7.0 and 8.1

Translating Text Documents into Braille and Speech

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
- Open your Internet Explorer web browser
- Click on the button marked 'Page' to the top right of the screen
and once the drop down menu has opened, select the item entitled 'Text
Size'.
- This will open up a new drop down menu listing various text size options
from 'Largest' through to 'Smallest'.
- Click on 'Largest'
- The text in your browser window should now appear larger. If, however,
you find that the text is still too small, you may need to consider looking
at the possibility of using screen magnification
software.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0
- Open your Internet Explorer web browser
- Click on the button marked 'View' and once the drop down menu has opened,
select the item entitled 'Text Size'.
- This will open up a new drop down menu listing various text size options
from 'Largest' through to 'Smallest'.
- Click on 'Largest'
- The text in your browser window should now appear larger. If, however,
you find that the text is still too small, you may need to consider looking
at the possibility of using screen magnification
software.
Netscape 6.2, 7.0 and 8.1
- Open your Netscape browser
- Hold down the 'Ctrl' button on your keyboard and press the plus
(+) key
- This will enlarge the text. If you need to increase the font size
further, repeat this procedure
- Keep repeating until the text size has been increased enough for
you to be able to read the screen with ease.
- If you need to make the text smaller press 'Ctrl' on your keyboard
and the minus ( - ) key
- If, despite enlarging the text, you find that you are still having difficulties
reading the screen, you may need to consider looking
at the possibility of using screen magnification software.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open your Firefox browser
- Hold down the 'Ctrl' button on your keyboard and press the plus
(+) key
- This will enlarge the text. If you need to increase the font size
